4 pandemic reads from author friends

During the pandemic, some people hunkered down to ride out the storm and just tried to get by. (To be clear, I am “some people“. Sometimes we need a break, and if there’s any excuse for one, I think a pandemic is it.)

Others found opportunity – or made opportunity – amidst it. *intercom voice* These are those people, and these are – literally – their stories.

If you’ve been waiting around for my new book, or if you’ve been devouring every story in sight the past 2 years and need something fresh, have I got a post for you. These are four friends who published a book in these Covid years while I hunkered down, and I’m so excited to share them with you.

It Happened in Iowa

A collection of essay commentaries on love, high school hijinks, and sorrow and longing

Casually Homicidal

A self-diagnosed sociopath. An impromptu roadtrip. And existential angst.
The long-awaited ghost story from the Amtrak Residency Program.

The Last Maul

The Chronicles of the King continue. Dark and Light, good and evil, true friends and impostors.

Note: I’m an Amazon affiliate, so at no additional cost to you, I may receive funds from purchases made through this link. More importantly, you’d be supporting my friends author careers and your own book obsession 😉

I’m excited to show you the book I slowly, trudgingly slowly, have been working on this past season, but we’ll both have to wait a little longer. In the meantime, would love to hear more about what you’re reading or writing throughout the pandemic!
